AI training data partnerships for telecom operators
Telecom networks are run through NOC tickets, change requests, runbooks and OSS/BSS systems built up over decades. These records describe how engineers diagnose outages and how billing and provisioning really work. Momentra helps operators, ISPs and network service companies assess whether anonymized operational data could be licensed for AI training, without touching subscriber records.
Can telecom operators license or sell their data for AI training?
Telecom operators can license anonymized network operations data for AI training without touching subscriber records. NOC fault tickets, network runbooks and MOPs, and OSS/BSS provisioning and billing code are the most valuable assets. CDRs, subscriber identities and KYC documents are excluded, lawful intercept material stays out under licence conditions, and IPs and hostnames are replaced.
No files needed upfront. We sign an NDA before reviewing any sample.
Data telecom operators hold that AI can learn from
NOC incident and fault tickets
Alarm correlation notes, troubleshooting steps and root cause reports show how network faults are found and fixed under time pressure.
Network runbooks and MOPs
Methods of procedure for upgrades, configuration changes and rollbacks are detailed, step-by-step operational documents.
OSS/BSS code and integrations
Provisioning, mediation, rating and billing code, often spanning legacy and modern stacks, is rare and complex engineering material.
Change management records
Change requests with risk assessments, approvals and post-implementation reviews capture careful decision-making with known outcomes.
Enterprise customer support workflows
Escalation threads for leased lines, MPLS and SD-WAN customers show technical support that goes beyond scripted consumer calls.
What this data helps AI models learn
Network troubleshooting agents
Fault tickets with diagnostic steps and resolutions can help train models to reason through alarms and narrow down causes.
Working with legacy OSS/BSS code
Real billing and provisioning codebases can help coding models understand and modify large, older telecom systems.
Change planning and risk review
Change records with outcomes can teach models to draft procedures and flag risky steps.
Privacy and compliance, handled first
You decide what is in scope, nothing moves before an NDA, and data is anonymized before any further use.
Subscriber data and call records
CDRs, subscriber identities, location data and KYC documents are excluded from scope. The focus is operational and engineering data, not customer records.
Licence conditions and lawful intercept
Telecom licences in India and elsewhere impose confidentiality and security obligations. Anything related to lawful intercept or restricted network information should stay out of scope.
Network topology and security details
IP addresses, hostnames, site locations and credentials in tickets and configs are removed or replaced so the data cannot be used to map your network.
How a partnership begins
Share Basic Information
Share only your contact, company, industry, and partnership interests—no raw data required.
Initial Value Assessment
We discuss the data type, completeness, scarcity, and the tasks it could support.
Define the NDA and Boundaries
Before reviewing any sample, we define confidentiality, permitted use, retention, and security requirements.
Receive an Offer and Begin the Partnership
We provide a purchase proposal and contract, then support de-identification and secure data transfer.
Frequently asked questions
- Do you want our subscriber or call data?
- No. Subscriber records and CDRs carry heavy regulatory obligations and are not what Momentra is looking for. The useful material is how your teams operate and engineer the network.
- Our OSS is a vendor product. Can we include it?
- Vendor source code and documentation usually belong to the vendor. Your own customizations, integrations, tickets and runbooks are more likely to be yours to license.
- How do you stop network details from leaking?
- Sensitive identifiers like IPs, hostnames and site names are detected and replaced before further use, and the agreement governs permitted use, retention and security.
- We are a small regional ISP. Is this relevant to us?
- It can be. Smaller operators often have well-documented NOC and support processes, and what matters most is completeness and quality, which the initial assessment looks at.
